This is prototype policy content and must be reviewed before launch. It is a draft and does not constitute final terms or legal advice.
A plain-English summary — draft
Osevaro is in pre-launch, so this policy is a working draft that will be finalised and independently reviewed before we begin trading and process live customer data. It is written to reflect our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This policy covers personal data we handle when you use our website, create an account, place an order or contact us. It should be read alongside our Cookie policy, which explains the cookies and browser storage we use.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Osevaro (registered company details to be confirmed before launch). Our full registered details will be published before we begin trading.

Some of our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we make sure the transfer is protected by an appropriate safeguard — such as UK adequacy regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement, or equivalent contractual protections — so your data receives essentially the same protection as it does in the UK.
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymise it. In general:
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

Do you sell my personal data?
No. We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers — such as our payment and delivery partners — who need it to run the shop and fulfil your orders, under strict data-processing agreements.
Where are my card details stored?
Payment is handled securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number ourselves.
How do I access or delete my data?

What lawful basis do you use to email me marketing?
Consent. We only send marketing where you have opted in, and you can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time.

Please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
